A scientific session of the Physical Sciences Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) dedicated to the ninetieth birthday of Academician Aleksandr Mikhailovich Prokhorov was held in the Conference Hall of the P N Lebedev Physics Institute, RAS on 25 October 2006.
