В обзоре представлено современное состояние исследований прочности, пластичности, сверхпластичности и других важных параметров, определяющих механические свойства наноматериалов на основе металлов, сплавов, интерметаллидов, полупроводников и тугоплавких соединений. Описаны различные теоретические подходы, проанализирована роль размерных эффектов, а также поверхностей раздела и других структурных факторов в формировании прочности и пластичности наноструктурных материалов. Критически проанализированы структурные модели пластической деформации и разрушения, а также методики измерения механических свойств наноматериалов.
