This article examines the characteristics of the magnetic phase transition in the chiral magnet MnSi and the weak first-order phase transition in the model ferroelectric KDP, analyzes the results of magnetoresistance and Hall effect measurements in MnSi and Mn(Co)Si, and presents data indicating the existence of a quantum critical region near T = 0 in the Mn(Co,Fe) Si and a mysterious universal line indicating that the contribution of spin fluctuations to the heat capacity is independent of the concentration and nature of impurities.
