The authors present results of experimental investigations of compressibility, sound
velocity, temperature, electrical conductivity, absorption and reflection of light, which have been
accomplished in VNIIEF at shock compression of noble gases (argon, krypton, xenon) and liquid
nitrogen with use of condensed high explosives in the pressure range up to Р ≈ 1 TPa. The paper
describes experimental devices for generation and diagnostics of states with high density of
energy. The obtained data are employed for testing and verifying models of equations of state in
the environments of influence of strong interparticle interaction on substance properties in area
of high pressure nonideal plasma that is hard-to-get-to for calculations.
The authors performed analysis of new and commonly available information on
properties of nonideal plasma for the investigated materials.
