Devices based on superconducting electronics elements significantly outperform systems based on conventional technologies due to quantum nature, unique set of parameters and cryogenic operating temperature. The operating frequency of ultra-sensitive terahertz (THz) range receivers has reached 1 THz: their noise temperature is limited only by the quantum limit. One of the most promising areas is the development of superconducting THz generators for integrated receiving systems. Such an application of the Josephson effect seems quite natural, but many developments and studies in dozens of leading laboratories around the world have not led to the development of a oscillator with the required parameters for a long time.
