Cosmological results from the Planck space mission and their comparison with data from the WMAP and BICEP2 experiments

Special Astrophysical Observatory, Russian Academy of Sciences, Nizhnii Arkhyz, Zelenchukskiy Region, Karachai-Cherkessian Republic, Russian Federation

We review basic results from the European Space Agency's Planck space mission that are of crucial significance to understanding the origin and evolution of the Universe. The main stages of astrophysical and cosmological data processing pipelines are considered. A comparison of the Planck results and data from the NASA WMAP (Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe) space mission and BICEP2 (Background Imaging of Cosmic Extragalactic Polarization 2) experiment is made.
