Undulators and wigglers for production of radiation and other applications

This paper describes periodic magnetic systems known as undulators and wigglers that are used in storage rings and free electron lasers both to generate radiation and to control the beam parameters. The design details and radiation characteristics of such systems are discussed together with their influence on electron motion.
