Обзор современного состояния теории спиновых волн в магнитных диэлектриках. Особое внимание уделено рассмотрению систем с произвольным узельным спином. Приведены примеры расчета магнитных характеристик ряда систем с малой плотностью частиц (магнонов) и сильным взаимодействием между ними. Рассмотрены особенности низкоразмерных систем, связанных с определяющей ролью спиновых флуктуации. Отдельная глава посвящена магнитным фазовым переходам, в основном ориентационного типа. Рассмотрен также ряд эффектов, обязанных дипольному взаимодействию спинов. Табл. 8. Ил. 10. Библиогр. ссылок 119 (138 назв.).
