Nonclassical transport in nonequilibrium rarefied gas flows

Physical phenomena in nonequilibrium gas flows with the classical Stokes and Fourier laws for stress and heat transfer being violated are considered. The principal differences of the kinetic description from the methods of thermodynamics of nonequilibrium processes are clarified. Classes of problems for nonequilibrium flows of rarefied gas, in which nonclassical transfer is realized, are investigated. Possibilities of experimental verification of the effects is discussed.
