Networks of spike oscillators and their application for creating autonomous intelligent devices

Hierarchical networks of pulse-coupled chemical micro-oscillators (MOs) are considered. The Belousov-Zhabotinsky oscillatory reaction in microvolume serves as a single MO. The biological principles of neural networks and the laws of nonlinear dynamics are used to operate the considered networks, which we call the "chemical brain". It has been shown that the "chemical brain" is capable of adaptive behavior and decision-making.
