Microscopic approach for the description of spin torques in two-dimensional Rashba anti- and ferromagnets

This review presents the most significant results obtained lately using microscopic approach that are of greatimportance for the systematic study of magnetic dynamics in low-dimensional anti- and ferromagnetic materials withstrong Rashba-type spin-orbit interaction. In particular, for theoretical models the microscopic description of Gilbertdamping and spin torques, as well as values of symmetric and antisymmetric exchange interactions are discussed.It is shown that in anti- and ferromagnetic materials the presence of a sufficiently strong spin-orbit interactionleads to the anisotropy of Gilbert damping tensor and spin torques. A significant part of the review is devoted to adiscussion of the theoretical studies of spin-orbit torques in two-dimensional Rashba antiferromagnet and its effecton magnetisation vector switching under the sequence of external current pulses.
