Nano optical elements for surface plasmon waves

The main scientific results obtained during the last few years by the staff of the Laboratory of Laser Spectroscopy of ISAN in the field of research and development of various two-dimensional optical elements for surface plasmon waves and their characterization with the use of near and far field methods are presented: optical medium for plasmon waves, plasmon interferometer, parabolic mirror for focusing plasmon waves, a dielectrically loaded plasmon-polariton waveguide, plasmon nolaser based on the use of plasmonic crystal and plasmon sensor of fluorescent biomarkers. It is shown that the use of modern approaches to the development of plasmon optics elements based on the use of single-crystal metal surfaces of ultra-high quality allows one to approach the theoretically predicted characteristics of these elements.
