Exciton condensates in integer and fractional quantum Hall dielectricsOsipyan Institute of Solid State Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Akademika Osip'yana str. 2, Chernogolovka, Moscow Region, 142432, Russian Federation ![]() A review of experimental studies of the properties of a recently discovered new coherent collective state, a magnetoexciton condensate, is presented. Condensation occurs at temperatures below 1 K in a Fermi system, an integer quantum Hall dielectric (filling factor ν =2), as a result of the formation of a dense ensemble of long-lived triplet spin cyclotron magnetoexcitons, composite bosons. Using a high-aperture, high-resolution optical system, the formation and spreading of dense photoexcitation ensembles in real space in integer and fractional quantum Hall dielectrics with filling factors ν =2 and ν =1/3 is visualized. The correlation between the transport and coherence properties of these ensembles is analyzed.
