Networks of spike oscillators and their application for creating autonomous intelligent devicesCenter for Nonlinear Chemistry, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, A. Nevsky str. 14, Kaliningrad, 236016, Russian Federation Hierarchical networks of pulse-coupled chemical micro-oscillators (MOs) are considered. The Belousov—Zhabotinsky oscillatory reaction in a microvolume serves as a single MO. Biological principles of neural networks and the laws of nonlinear dynamics are used to operate the considered networks, which we call a 'chemical brain.' It has been shown that this 'chemical brain' is capable of adaptive behavior and decision-making.
