Beam-colliding facilities (aka colliders) are key to exploring the fundamental properties of matter and understanding elementary particles and their interactions. The Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, co-pioneered the development and remains the leading developer and user of electron-positron colliding beams. This paper reviews the past, present, and future of colliding beam work at BINP.
