On the theory of light scattering by a dilute gas Bose—Einstein condensate

The semiclassical theory of light scattering by a dilute gas Bose—Einstein condensate is examined with special attention paid to the key role of the momentum recoil imparted to atoms by photons, a phenomenon that disturbs the interference quenching of superradiant scattering.
