Experimental and theoretical work on cavitation-induced fusion reactions in bubbles is critically analyzed. It is shown that the existing data are internally inconsistent. The yield of hypothetical thermonuclear neutrons is found to be at least three orders of magnitude overestimated and thus inconsistent with the tritium yield observed. A simple estimate shows the infeasibility of any power system using the principle discussed.
