Impedance model for quantum-mechanical barrier problems


National Technical University of Ukraine ‘Kyiv Polytechnical Institute’, Peremogy prosp. 37, Kiev, 03056, Ukraine

Application of the impedance model to typical quantum-mechanical barrier problems, including those for structures with resonant electron tunneling, is discussed. The efficiency of the approach is illustrated. The physical transparency and compactness of the model and its potential as a teaching and learning tool are discussed.
